and 36th Training Programme on Industrial Harmony
The
35th Training Programme on Industrial Harmony and the 36th Training
Programme on Industrial Harmony for the employers and workers of
the Industrial Establishments was held on 6th July 2011 at 09.30
a.m and 7th July 2011 at 09.30 a.m. respectively at the premises
of M/s. Whirlpool India Private Limited, Thiruvandarkoil, Puducherry.
Tmt.
V. Sagoundala, Labour Officer (Conciliation), welcome the gathering.
Thiru B. Mohandoss, B.Sc., M.L. DCBL, DFL, Advocate (Labour and
Service Laws Consultant), Thiru G. Ganesan, Assistant Inspector
of Labour, and Thiru K. Subramanianm, Dy. General Manager (HR),
Godrej Consumer Products Private Limited, Puducherry participated.
The
Labour Officer (Conciliation) stressed the importance of the Training
Programme in achieving the desired industrial peace and progress.
Thiru
B. Mohandoss, enumerated the importance in implementation of various
laws, the latest amendments, its interpretations and its applications
for achieving the industrial harmony.

K. Subramanian, Dy. General Manager (HR) of Godrej Consumer Products
Private Limited, has emphasized the importance of maintaining the
industrial Harmony in order to achieve the coporate goals.

Indis Private Limited, Puducherry spoke about the concept of TOP
T-for Trust, O- for Openess and P-for Positive thinking.

the employers and employees, their duties and responsibilities in
the prevaling industrial scenario.

One Day Training Programme on Industrial Harmony
The
34th One day Training Programme on industrial Harmony was held on
1st June 2011 at Yanam. Tmt. V. Sagoundala, Labour Officer (Conciliation),
Thiru R. David Raju, Regional Administrator Incharge, Yanam and
Thiru Gidla Chandra Rao, Chairman, Yanam Municipality Council, Yanm
along with employees and management staff particpated in the one
day trianing programme.

rights of the union / workmen and the obligations of the management.
Thiru
G. Vasudeva Murthy, Assistant Director, ESI Corporation, Viyawada
spone on the ESI Act and its benefits to the employees.

Reddy Nagarjundu, Educational Officer, Central Board for Workers
Education and Tmt. V. Aruna Sree, Educational Officer, Central Board
for Workers Education, spoke on the industrial relationship and
industrial harmony.

K. Chandrasekara Rao, Enforcement Officer, EPF Organization, Kakinada,
explained the finacial secrutiy provided by the EPF Act.

Yanam spoke on the benefits of the various laour laws.

31st Training Programme on Industrial Harmony was held on 23rd September
2010 at the Chamber of Industries, PIPDIC Industrial Estate, Mettupalayam,
Puducherry.

Job
Fair for Differently Abled Persons
A
job fair for differently abled persons was conducted on 26th June
2010 by Employment Exchange, Puducherry in association with the
Social Welfare Department, Puducherry. The Job Fair was inaugurated
by Hon'ble Minister for Labour, Thiru M. Kandasamy, at Vivekananda
Higher Secondary School, Chellaperumal Pet, Puducherry. Around 42
private companies participated in the Job Fair organised by the
Labour Department and offer of appointment was given to 35 participants.
Commissioner of Labour, Thiru G. Malar Kannan and Employment Officer,
Tmt. V. Anitha,and other officials of the Labour Department participated
in the job fair.

One day Training Programme on Industrial Harmony
One
day Training Programme on Industrial Harmony was held on 13th May
2010 at M/s. Ram Granites, A-23, III Cross, Rural Industrial Estate,
Sedarapet, Puducherry. Thiru M. Kandasamy, Hon'ble Minister for
Labour, Thiru A. Elumalai, M.L.A., Thiru G. Malar Kannan, Commissioner
of Labour and Tmt. V. Sagoundala, Labour Officer (Conciliation),
participated in the one day training programme.
TRAINING
PROGRAMME ON "BEHAVIOURAL SKILL MANAGEMENT FOR WOMEN AT BOOMIYANPET
FROM 22ND SEPTEMBER 2009 TO 26TH SEPTEMBER 2009
A
five day training camp on "Behavioural Skill Managment for
Women" was inaugurated on 23rd September 2009 at Labour Welfare
Centre, Boomiyanpet at 09.30 a.m. The Labour Officer (Welfare Schemes),
gave a warm welcome, the Commissioner of Labour inaugurated the
camp. The inaugural address and felecitation address were given
by the Deputy Labour Commissioner.
on
24th September 2009, a lecture was given by Mr. Abdul Rachide, Advocate,
Leagal Aid Cell, Puducherry on "Family Counseling" and
on 25th September 2009 a talk on "Health Awareness" was
given by the Medical Officer, Primary Health Centre, Boomiyanpet,
Puducherry.
Self
Employment Course on Beauty Clinic was conducted by Ms. S. Marie
Sagayamarie.
Certificates
were distributed to the participants and the vote thanks was given
by the Labour Officer (Welfare Schemes).
World
Day Against Child Labour
Labour
Office (Welfare Schemes), Puducherry along with the Puducherry Legal
Services Authority, Puducherry conducted awareness programme on
World Day Against Child Labour on 18th June 2009 in the Auditorium
of the Labour Department Complex, Gandhi Nagar, Puducherry and on
22nd June 2009 at Rural Labour Welfare Centre, Ariyur, Puducherry.

Kanna, Commissioner of Labour, Thiru K. Kasinathan, Deputy Labour
Commissioner, Tmt. V. Sagoundala, Labour Officer (Welfare Schemes),

CAREER
GUIDANCE EXHIBITION
The
Employment Exchange, Puducherry is conducting Career Guidance Exhibition
every year in Pondicherry region for the benefit of S.S.L.C. and
+2 students of Pondicherry.
This
year also it is proposed to conduct one such Exhibition in Pondicherry
region at Gandhi Thidal, Beach Road, Pondicherry during May / June
2008.
The
purpose of the Exhibition is to educated and counsel the S.S.L.C.
/ +2 Students of Pondicherry, so that they can avail the opportunities
of admission for various higher study courses conducted by the Educational
Institutions in Pondicherry and adjoining State of Tamil Nadu.The
date(s) of the Career Guidance Exhibition will be updated subsequently.
