BENEFITS EXTENDED BY THE BOARD:-

 

(i) Marriage Assistance @ Rs. 7,000/-

As per Rule 284 of the Puducherry Building Other Construction Workers, Rules, 2001 the Building Workers having continuous membership for 2 years shall be eligible to get financial assistance of Rs.7,000/- to the marriage of their children. A female beneficiary is also eligible for this assistance for her own marriage. This assistance shall be sanctioned for the marriage of two children of the beneficiary. The enhanced benefit amount of Rs. 5000/- to Rs.7000/- w.e.f 08.07.2017.

(ii) Maternity Benefit @ Rs.5000/-

As per Rule 273 of the PBOCW Rules, 2001, the women beneficiary who are eligible for this assistance during the period of maternity. The spouse of male worker who is the beneficiary of this Board shall be eligible for this benefit. An application Form No. XXXIII with such other documents as may be specified shall be submitted for this benefit. Provided that this benefit shall not be allowed more than twice. The enhanced benefit Rs. 3000/- to Rs.5000/- w.e.f 08.07.2017.

(iii) Funeral Assistance @ Rs. 7,000/-

As per Rule 279 of the PBOCW Rules, 2001 The Board may sanction an amount of Rs.7,000/- to the nominees / dependents of a deceased member, towards funeral expenses. An application in Form No.XXXIX shall be submitted for this benefit. The enhanced benefit of Rs. 5000/- to Rs.7000/- w.e.f 08.07.2017.

(iv) Normal Death benefit @ Rs.1,00,000/- and Accidental death @ Rs.3,00,000/-

As per rule 280-A of the PBOCW Rules, 2001 “in case of Natural death the Board sanction a sum of Rs.70,000/- as death benefit apart from the benefit of Rs.30,000/- extended through LIC. In case of Accidental death during the course of employment the Board sanction a sum of Rs. 2.25 lakhs as accidental death benefit apart from the benefit of Rs.75,000/- extended through LIC to the nominees / dependents of the beneficiary.

(v) Disability benefit @ Rs.1,50,000/-

As per rule 280 of the PBOCW Rules, 2001 the Board sanction a sum of Rs.75,000/- as disability benefit to the beneficiaries apart from the benefit of Rs.75,000/- extended through LIC.

(vi) Medical Assistance @ Rs.500/- for initial minimum period of 5 days and thereafter @ 50/- per day upto maximum of Rs.1500/- p.m.:-

As per Rule 282 of the PBOCW Rules, 2001 “The Board may sanction financial assistance to the beneficiaries who are hospitalized for five or more days due to accident or any disease. The financial assistance shall be Rs.500/- for the first
5 days and Rs.50/- each for the remaining days, subject to a maximum of Rs.1500/-.

(vii) Accidental Medical Assistance @ Rs.1500/- per month

As per Rule 282 of the PBOCW Rules, 2001 “The Board may sanction Accidental medical assistance to the enrolled beneficiaries, if a worker sustain fracture will be eligible for financial assistance of Rs.1500/- p.m. until he/she becomes physically fit to resume normal work (such claims from the workers shall be supported by medical certificates issued by a Government doctor).

(viii) Specialized treatment Medical assistance up to Rs. 2 Lakhs

As per Rule 282-A the Board extends Medical assistance up to Rs.2 Lakhs for Specialized treatment taken in Hospitals having tie-up with Government General Hospitals at Puducherry / Karaikal / Mahe / Yanam for the diseases like TB, Lung disease, Neuro, Accident with a referral letter duly obtained from the Health Department, Government of Puducherry by the beneficiary.

(ix) Higher Educational financial assistance:-

As per Rule 283, of the PBOCW Rules, 2001 the Board extending higher educational financial assistance to the wards of beneficiaries. The details of educational financial assistance as follows:-

        M.B.B.S/B.D.S(CENTAC) : Rs.1,00,000/-onetime payment
        B.E/B.Tech.(CENTAC)     : Rs. 50,000/- onetime payment
        Diploma in Engineering : Rs. 20,000/- onetime payment
        PG Degree courses        : Rs. 4,000/- per annum
        Degree courses              : Rs. 2,000/- per annum
        PG Diploma courses      : Rs. 3,000/- per annum
        Non –Engg. Dip.courses : Rs. 2,000/- per annum

(x) Educational cash award

As per Rule 283, of the PBOCW Rules, 2001 the Board extending educational cash award to the wards of beneficiaries who have secured top three ranks at the State Level and Regional Level in the Higher Secondary course or its equivalent examinations as detailed below.

(a) State Level Cash benefit
        First rank      : Rs.1,00,000/-
        Second rank : Rs. 80,000/-
        Third rank     : Rs. 60,000/-

(b) Region wise Cash benefit
        First rank      : Rs. 60,000/-
        Second rank : Rs. 40,000/-
        Third rank     : Rs. 20,000/-

P.G. Medical / P.G. Engg. Courses financial assistance:

As per Rule 283, of the PBOCW Rules, 2001 the Board extending P.G. courses financial assistance to the wards of beneficiaries. The details of educational financial assistance as follows:-

a) DM Clinical pharmacology, Cardiology, Neurology, M.Ch oncology, Hand Surgery, and any other PG Super Speciality Courses : Rs.1,50,000/-

b) PG Medicine, Radiology, Family Medicine, Anatomy, Pathology, Ayurvedic Medicine and any other PG Medical Courses            : Rs.1,00,000/-

c) M.S. Orthopaedics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, Anatomy and any other PG Medical Courses                             : Rs.1,00,000/-

(xi) School educational financial assistance

The Board also extends Scholarship to the wards of the beneficiaries who study 9th to 12th Std. and ITI @ Rs. 1,200/- p.a through LIC.

(xii) Contribution of Fund @ Rs.300/-

As per Rule 269(1) the Board has been collect a sum of Rs.300/- for contribution fund from beneficiaries for three years.

(xiii) Deewali Gift Coupon @ Rs.2000/-:

The Board has issued Diwali Gift Coupon of Rs.2000/- to celebrate Diwali festival to all the enrolled beneficiaries in the Board.

(xiv) Skill Development Scheme (RPL)

The Board has Implement of the Skill Development Scheme (RPL) to the Construction Workers.
