 Accidents:

             During the year 2005, there were 5 fatal accidents with 276 non-fatal accidents.  Against 20,30,1600  Mandays worked, 2070 mandays were lost due to  the accidents.  Similarly during the year 2004, 6 fatal accidents with 357 non-falal accidents have taken place.  Out of 18,70,6500 mandays worked, 2213 mandays were lost due to the accident. 

However with a view to arrest the increasing friend of accidents in factories, the inspecting staff of the Factory inspectorate continue to have Hanson and personal discussion with the management and this has resulted in bringing down the total number of accidents. 

During the year 2007, there are 8 fatal accidents with 208 non-fatal accidents. Against 21,09,2300 mandays worked, 1872 mandays lost due to the accidents. However with a view to prevent the accidents various safety promotional activities are being organized by this Inspectorate and also the managements of factories are persuaded to impart training on safety, to their workers to minimize the occurrence of accidents which has resulted in bringing down the total number of accidents this year.

 PLAN Approval: 

       During 2004, 347 Plans of the factory building with machinery layout were scrutinized and approved under the Factories Act, 1948, whereas during the years 2005, 2006 & 2007, 372, 302, 332 plans were approved respectively.
